This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.### 1. Health DataWith your explicit permission, PawCommit reads data from Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android), including:- Workouts (type, duration, calories burned)
- Weight (body mass entries)
- Steps (daily step count)
- Heart rate (resting and active, when available)This data is used solely to display your fitness information within the App and to calculate calorie adjustments. We do not sell or share your health data with advertisers. Health data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored in our database with row-level security so only you can access your records.### 2. User-Generated DataWhen you use the App, you may create and store:- Food logs and calorie entries (meals, snacks, barcode scans)
- Meal plans and recipes (weekly plans, saved recipes)
- Personal goals (calorie targets, macro ratios, weight goals)
- Exercise history (logged workouts, personal records)
- Profile information (display name, email address, profile photo URL)This data is stored on our servers to provide the App's core functionality and is accessible only to you unless you choose to share it.### 3. Shared Plans & Community DataIf you choose to make a plan public, the following data becomes visible to other users:- Public plans (plan name, description, meals, tags)
- Ratings and reviews you submit on other users' plans
- Anonymized enrollment statistics (e.g., "42 people enrolled" — no individual identities are exposed)
- Creator profile (display name and optional bio)You can unpublish a plan at any time to remove it from public visibility.### 4. Crash Reporting & AnalyticsWe use Sentry for crash reporting. Sentry collects:- Error reports (stack traces, error messages)
- Session data (app launch/close timestamps)
- Device information (OS version, device model, screen size)Sentry does not collect your health data, food logs, or personal content. Crash data is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs.### 5. Data Storage & Security- Backend: All user data is stored in Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL) with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring each user can only access their own data.
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Encryption at rest: Supabase encrypts data at rest using AES-256.
- Authentication: User accounts are managed via Supabase Auth with secure password hashing.### 6. Third-Party ServicesWe use the following third-party services:| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |

Data RetentionYour data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data — including food logs, health sync data, plans, and profile information — is permanently deleted from our servers. Anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., total plan enrollments) may be retained.### 9. Children's PrivacyPawCommit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.### 10. Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website.
